Fall Fun in Grand Forks MN

Temperatures may be cooling and the daylight shortening, but that doesn’t stop Grand Forks from having fun. If you’re new to the area and looking to purchase one of the Grand Forks homes, we have homes and lots available to meet your every need. While you’re househunting, don’t miss out on the many fun fall activities to be found throughout greater Grand Forks!

Fall and football are a perfect pair, whether you’re playing with friends or watching on TV. Best of all, you can take in some exciting games played by the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks football team in person! The upcoming home games take place October 19 at 1 PM vs. Northern Iowa (Family Day); November 9 at 1 PM vs. South Dakota State (Military Appreciation); and November 16 at 12 PM vs. South Dakota (Senior Day). Don’t forget to arrive early and enjoy some tailgate fun and food at the Alerus Center south parking lot.

Valley Corn Maize is an ideal fall attraction for the whole family, complete with a 15-acre Snoopy 4 Prez corn maze and kids straw maize. Take in the variety of seasonal sights, smells and activities each weekend through October 20, 2024. Among the attractions are a giant bubble station, spider web, tetherball, a large tic-tac-toe, and a ride on a grain train. Plus, October 5-6 is the Canines in the Corn event, and Flashlight Dash Night is on closing night, October 20.

For more fabulous fall entertainment, don’t miss the fun at Patch on the Point at Paradise Stables. This immersive community attraction includes one of the largest pumpkin patches in the area, but there’s so much more. Free horse-drawn wagon rides, a petting zoo, an adventure trail, lawn games and $6 pony rides make for a fun day out, and there are food trucks to keep your energy up. For an adrenaline boost, there’s also  a 100-foot super slide, and a tricycle/pedal GoKart track. Patch on the Point is open through October 27, 2024, from 5:30-7:30 PM on Thursdays & Fridays, 11 AM to 7 PM on Saturdays, and 11 AM to 5 PM on Sundays. In addition, there are special Saturday events, including the Just 4 Kix Halloween Dance Show on October 12, Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue Adoption Event on October 19, and Hocus Pocus Outdoor Big Screen Movie on October 26.

These are just a few of the many activities to enjoy this fall in Grand Forks. Bicycling or walking through park trails where you can take in the changing colors are always popular. Plus, if you buy one of our Grand Forks homes soon, you’ll want to stop by the 2024 Grand Forks Pride of Dakota Show, November 22-23, at the Alerus Center, where you’ll find made-in-Dakota products including home décor and so much more.
